The 7th annual International Codification Courses in Brno concluded with a community seminar titled “NCS College: This Year and Next”.

On Friday, Colonel General Petr Hlavizna, Vice-Rector for External Relations and Internationalization of the University of Defence in Brno, presented certificates to eighteen participants of the Course for Codifiers in the Knights’ Hall of the University of Defence Club.

Located beneath Špilberk Castle, AURA is a company founded in April 1989 by the Engelsmann family from Brno. Over the course of 35 years, it has grown from a former production cooperative into the largest Czech exporter of information systems for military logistics.

A significant milestone in the central training of countries – participants in the NATO Codification System – was the year 2012.

The perspective on creating and developing documentation is undergoing a significant transformation nowadays. Where printed materials, PDFs, emails, or web-based updates once sufficed, today’s information is delivered through sophisticated online information systems.

In my previously published article in this periodical, I mentioned the importance of Life Cycle Management (LCM) of military equipment as a key task of the Ministry of Defence and the Czech Armed Forces. This issue encompasses various perspectives, primarily those of the manufacturer and the user.

AURA Codification Agency operates mainly on the domestic market and in Slovakia, but also indirectly in other countries using the MC CATALOGUE information system for codification support, developed and implemented by this Brno-based company.
