NCS College has more than two hundred graduates

On Friday, Colonel General Petr Hlavizna, Vice-Rector for External Relations and Internationalization of the University of Defence in Brno, presented certificates to eighteen participants of the Course for Codifiers in the Knights' Hall of the University of Defence Club.

The course represented the second part of the NCS College codification courses. This training of managers and specialists from countries participating in the NATO Codification System has been taking place in the Czech Republic biennially since 2012, and during its existence, NCS College has become the largest national training institution in the world within the codification community. So far, it has trained and educated more than two hundred students from 33 countries on five continents.

Codification of items according to the uniform principles established and consistently used by NATO member states and partner nations is an essential part of ensuring logistical support in international operations and missions. In the Czech Republic, this activity is carried out by the Defence Standardisation, Codification and Government Quality Assurance Authority through the Cataloguing Department, which is entrusted with the role of the National Codification Bureau. The bureau has long been involved in the organisation of the NATO Codification System College international codification course under the auspices of the University of Defence in Brno and with the support of AURA, s.r.o., which is the supplier of the codification SW.
